The Same-Day Crowns Process

At Upside, efficiency and comfort are our priorities. We’re changing the dental crowns game. Providing your care on your schedule, getting you in and out in just a few hours. Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Intake

When you step into our doors, you’ll meet our staff and head to a patient room where a dental assistant will get to know your needs and gather x-rays and any other important context on the tooth or teeth in question. We offer free consultations, giving you the opportunity to speak with a doctor and explore your options before making any decisions.

Step 2: Diagnosis & Treatment Plan

Your dentist will then review your information and provide you with a diagnosis and a customized treatment plan to address your needs, ensuring you understand the process and are aware of our pricing. Once you sign off, your dentist will begin treatment.

Step 3: Preparing the Tooth

Before getting the crown, your tooth will be anesthetized, and digital scans will capture the original shape and size of the tooth. Then, your dentist will remove any damaged or diseased tooth structure and prepare the tooth for the crown.

Step 4: Designing the Crown

A dental assistant will then scan in the prepared tooth and begin the process of designing the dental crown to fit your tooth. During this time, you’ll have about an hour in your private patient suite to wait, catch up on work, watch TV or relax while the crown is being fabricated.

Step 5: Cementation

We’ll let you know once you’re crown is ready, and we will place it on your tooth. This usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes. During this cementation process, we will check the crown for fit and function, ensuring the color is a good match and your bite is to your comfort.

Step 6: Restored & Ready to Go

After we get you checked out, you’ll be on your way with your new dental crown!
